A special and for some might confrontational project of filmmaker Jeroen Wolf. In a film that lasts 150 seconds, he puts one hundred Amsterdammers in a row. They called out all ages, from 1 to 100.

If you add all ages of people filmed up, you get the impressive total of 5050 years. On a blog, the filmmaker tells how he wandered the streets of Amsterdam and asked people their age for the camera to call. First it was easy and fast, but it became increasingly difficult for the ages to find that he had not yet collected.

With young people is was difficult because of the caution should be exercised when photographing and filming children.  With he older people the bottleneck was they come less often out of the house, describes Wolf. The oldest people he found in elderly institutions. It was an honor for him to film those older, often vulnerable people.

The most difficult it was to find a 99-year-old person. “And when he finally had found one, she refused to name her age. She simply denied that she was 99 !”
